Services to Oregon's 44th Parallel

Linn-Co Federal Credit Union is becoming 44 North Credit Union! This name change reflects our expansion of services to counties along the 44th parallel, including Benton, Deschutes, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, and Marion Counties in Oregon.

From Sea to Standing Trees

This shift signifies our commitment to serving members residing along this latitude, reflecting our inclusive approach to community banking and extending our reach to a broader demographic. By embracing the significance of the 44th parallel, 44 North Credit Union aims to continue our legacy of providing financial support and assistance to individuals across diverse geographical areas.

Linn-Co Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1956 by eight school teachers at Green Acres School in Lebanon. Through the years we have evolved into a credit union that is chartered to serve all who live, work, worship, or attend school in Linn County, and their out-of-town family members.

Charter Change Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The name change process is underway and must be completed by June 30, 2024.

On December 31, 2023, Linn-Co Federal Credit Union moved from a federally regulated financial institution to one regulated by the State of Oregon. As such, we needed to remove the Federal from the name. Along with the change to a state charter, additional counties were added to our field of membership, which will now include Lincoln, Benton, Marion, Linn, Lane, and Deschutes counties.
The counties mentioned above encompass the area along the 44th parallel north latitude. To reflect our expanded field of membership from the coast to the Cascades, 44 North Credit Union was chosen.
